As mentioned in our earlier blog post, the National Psoriasis Foundation is having its Inaugural Team NPF Cycle event at Duck Walk Vineyards in Water Mill, NY on Saturday, May 14th. DIGA's Psoriasis Chair John Zade, a medical student at New York Medical College, will be riding on behalf of the Dermatology Interest Group Association! Let's show our support by sending some donations his way, riding with him, or volunteering at the events!...

New Jersey: Team NPF Cycle in New Jersey

The National Psoriasis Foundation is having its 2nd Annual Team NPF Cycle event at Unionville Vineyards in Ringoes, NJ on Saturday, May 21st. Our goal is to raise $140,000 to help find a cure for psoriatic disease. It’s a great opportunity to play a part in fighting a health related disease that has a major impact our community.  As many as 7.5 million Americans or 2.2% of our population suffers from psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis.

For full details on the Ride, please check out our website at www.teamnpf.org/njcycle

It will be an inspiring event where over 300 riders will be challenging themselves by riding distances of 10, 29, 62 or 100 miles.

Day of event volunteers will be asked to help set-up/clean-up, man registration tables and rest stops, t-shirt and jersey distribution, as well as take candid photos.

Indiana University DIG has paired up with Outrun the Sun for a Race Against Melanoma. The Outrun the Sun Race Against Melanoma is the largest evening event of its kind in the United States supporting skin cancer education/prevention and melanoma research. This unique evening event occurring at 7pm keeps participants out of the sun's harsh daytime ultraviolet rays. Stay posted for results and pictures of this incredible event!
